That means no unprotected intersections (where you'd cross a dangerous road without a stop sign or traffic light) — and you'll mostly be riding through quiet side-streets.
Our philosophy is that there's always a safe route, and we'll always take you down it!
SuperSafe on vs off
Use the SuperSafe toggle in the planner to choose how we route you:
On — we prioritise protected bike lanes, quiet streets and safe crossings, and colour-code your route by how safe each section is (blue = city cycle routes, green = quiet, orange = busier, red = busy roads).
Off — a more direct route that may use busier roads to save time, with no safety colour-coding.
